OpenAI has decided to cease operations of its AI-driven web browser, Atlas, with the service scheduled to be discontinued on August 9. Although these tools incorporate some of Atlas’ features, OpenAI emphasizes that they are not intended to serve as direct replacements for the standalone browser. This decision comes amidst Google’s continued dominance in the browser market with its Chrome browser.
