Luxair has broadened its network by introducing direct flights from Luxembourg to Helsinki and Edinburgh, enhancing connections to Northern Europe. This move comes as part of the airline’s strategy to meet growing demand from travelers seeking both business and leisure opportunities in these regions.
The service to Helsinki commenced on July 2, followed by the launch of flights to Edinburgh on July 3. Each route operates twice a week, with Helsinki flights available on Mondays and Thursdays, and Edinburgh services on Mondays and Fridays. These additions aim to cater to the high demand from passengers, who have frequently requested these destinations in recent years.
As part of its expansion plan, Luxair is integrating these routes into a larger growth strategy that includes a renewal of its fleet. The introduction of flights to Helsinki and Edinburgh is among nine new routes being rolled out in 2026, which will extend the airline’s total network to 101 destinations. This strategic move is designed to bolster the airline’s presence across Europe while offering travelers more options for direct travel.
The new routes are anticipated to enhance the connectivity between Luxembourg and the prominent European capitals of Helsinki and Edinburgh.
